The “Grandfather  Somigli’s Farm” is now cultivated and run, with passion and expertise,  by his grandchild Lorenzo Correani.
In our farm, in the heart of Chianti area, we  produce,  in a limited quantity,  an excellent red wine (with “Gallo Nero” brand) which is our flagship.
The farm is located on a pleasant spacious hill at 400m s.l.. This position is ideal not only for the vineyards,  but for the olive trees as well. Olive oil is in fact the other “excellence” of our production.
The farm is cultivated by our family.
Lorenzo manages and  controls all the cultivation and production processes,  working personally in the fields, especially using all the mechanical aids. Lorenzo follows the products from the fields to the market.
Mother Loretta, in addition to helping Lorenzo in the vineyards,  cooks excellent dishes, which are particularly appreciated during the wine tasting. An example is the typical “fettunta” which gives the opportunity to enjoy our fantastic olive oil.
Father Alfredo too helps in the fields, according to the seasonal needs, but being a professional painter, his particular contribution is in the painting of the bottle labels for wine and oil. Every label is a small painting, handmade with special attention to details.
